Treasurer should step down late June and by that time all of our events will be complete bar a few payments in and out. Cash basis accounting so drawing up the bulk of the accounts to produce the financial report should be achievable. Our financial year finishes at the end of July and the accounts go off to the auditor for approval.
We have three meetings scheduled; March, April and June. After that there will be silence over the school holidays, probably a meeting in September then the AGM in October.
In my mind any numerate trustee should be able to produce the final accounts since it's all in our accounting software.
Now, here's the question: given you know the departure date and meeting dates, when would you start looking for a new treasurer? Keep in mind our constitution stipulates they must be a parent of a child at the school.
