Does anyone know - when a bank says it offers free to banking to charities under xxK turnover - are they refering to the turnover that goes through their bank or the Charities actual turnover as shown in their accounts? We have been banking with Nat West for way too long. As we have a turnover of over 100K we are paying monthly charges that amount to 2K a year while earning a pittance (0.01%) on our reserves. I am looking to open a second account elsewhere to keep both below the free banking threshold and remove the banking fees. Anyone tried this?
